About Kirah
“I create a space in therapy that focuses on finding a way to navigate life with meaning when things are difficult, uncomfortable, exciting, or anything in between."
Therapy here is collaborative. Many find that this process leads to insights and changes that feel more authentic and lasting than those imposed from the outside. Along the way, I offer practical strategies and support for navigating challenges and engaging more fully in life.
Support is available for:
Anxiety
Depression
Complex trauma and difficult life experiences
Self-criticism and self-worth concerns
Relationship difficulties
Challenges related to food and body image
ADHD and neurodivergence
A central part of my work is helping people understand their own patterns of thinking, feeling, and responding so they can better recognize and support their needs. I specialize in helping people who have developed self-critical ways of relating to themselves as a result of difficult life experiences. Together, we explore how these experiences may continue to influence the way you see yourself, others, and the world while building more flexible and compassionate ways of responding.
My approach primarily integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). Rather than fitting people's needs into one particular model, I use these approaches and others flexibly to support your unique needs and goals.
I also have specialized training in eating disorder treatment and enjoy working with individuals who have established greater stability in their eating behaviors and want to continue strengthening their relationship with themselves, their bodies, and their sense of self-worth. This work often includes exploring perfectionism, self-criticism, shame, and the beliefs that shape how people see themselves.
Telehealth services are available in Oregon and Washington, offering flexibility for those who travel between states or prefer to meet from their own space. Please reach out for a brief consultation to explore whether this approach aligns with what you may be looking for at this stage in life.
